Her own personal story is extraordinary and inspiring and I think it’s a true testament to the type of leader she is and the type of leader she will be in the Attorney General’s office.”
Kennedy added that during his tenure representing the SouthCoast in Congress, he knew how often the needs of gateway communities are deprioritized over the needs of larger metropolitan areas, and that he believes Campbell will make the needs of those communities a priority. central objective. of his campaign.

Campbell’s stop in Fall River today is part of her campaign’s ‘Listening to Our Gateway Cities’ tour, which is an initiative to visit the Commonwealth’s 26 gateway cities to meet residents and learn how best to meet the needs of each community. Also in attendance were former Fall River Mayor Ed Lambert; Bob Sherman, who served as Ambassador to Portugal during the Obama administration; and Michael and Fernando Benevides, owners of Portugalia Market, who gave Campbell a tour of the market.
“Well, I would say gateway cities are the anchor for the whole state,” Campbell told WBSM. “And we recognize that we kicked off this Gateway Cities Tour early on not just to say we wanted to get to the communities that feel left behind and left behind, but to demonstrate that in action. So I’m truly honored to “Being here in Fall River with the former congressman who represented this area. He’s still well regarded here. We’re very happy, of course, to see that endorsement, but it also shows that his leadership is still focused about communities that feel left out and populations left behind and truly vulnerable – and we highlight that in this race.”

“GAs are going to have to support families in a very incredible way coming out of COVID, especially economically,” Campbell added. “And the best way to do that is to get out here…and I will of course be back. This is just the beginning. I’m honored to have the support of all these people who have been doing such a great job for over the years at Fall River and other gateway communities.
