Comptroller Glenn Hegar distributes $993m in monthly sales tax revenue to local governments – The Gilmer Mirror

(AUSTIN) — Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced today that he will send cities, counties, transit systems and special-use tax districts $992.9 million in local sales tax allowances to January, which is 26.8% more than in January 2021. These allowances are based on sales made in November by companies that declare the tax monthly.
